It’s been great hearing your hearts and what God is doing as He prepares all of us for our trip. Thank you guys for engaging and starting to be real with each other. Here’s one last question to respond to before we see each other in GA in a week!
One Bible verse Ive always looked to for encouragement (and has changed my life) is out of I Corinthians.
I Corinthians 2:9 – No Eye has seen, No Ear has heard, No mind has conceived what God has in store for those who love him.
Its exciting isnt it? It makes me so excited to see what God has in-store For every one of us on this Puerto Rico Trip.. as well as the rest of our lives. This verse also brings me a lot of comfort, because even in the lowest of lows God has a plan for our lives that will bring him glory.
consider it pure joy brothers when you face trials of many kinds. james 1:2
The spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengenance of our God, to comfort all who mourn.
Isiah 61:1-2
This is a verse one of my teammates from Swazi wrote on a goodbye letter to me.
Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and be sure of this, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
When I found this verse, I really like it, and thought it was really encouraging 🙂
sorry i meant liked haha (not i like)
Jeremiah 1:7 ” You must go to everywhere i send you to and say whatever i cammand you, Do not be afraid of them, for I AM WITH YOU AND WILL RESCUE YOU!!”
I believe that god wanted me to share this verse with you because there are times when we get scared and we have to remember that he is always with us and would never put us through something that didn’t truely glorify him.
Colossians 2: 6-7
And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflower with thankfulness. NLT
I came across this passage the other day and its stuck to my heart. It reminds us that being a christian is a job that requires lots of work. Its a precious gift and you can’t fool around with it. I feel like going on this mission trip is one of God’s ways of telling us that we need to grow stronger and look at the world around us!
SEE YOU SOON,
LOVE ANNIE:D
Religion that God our father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
James 1:27
hey everyone : ) just think about this and let this be our goal…to be what God accepts as pure and faultless, to care for the brokenhearted and show Gods love to them!!
