Elizabeth Schechter

Hi! I’m Elizabeth Schechter and I live in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I’m 15 and next year I’ll be a sophmore in high school. This will be my first time ever going on a mission trip. I have lots of friends who have said it’s an amazing expierience and I can’t wait to go and see for myself. For fun I like to hang out with friends, play tennis, volunteer, play with my dog, and go to youth group at my church. I go to a huge church with almost 20,000 people called Calvary Chapel. It’s easy to get lost, but it’s a lot of fun! I’ve been a Christian since my family started going to church almost 9 years ago, but I became really on fire for God about a year and a half ago. My parents and I are really passionate about Christian foster care and we volunteer a lot with an agency called 4Kids started through our church. I also help with a charity called Taylor’s Closet which was started by a friend of mine. It’s this store where underpriviliged girls can come and shop for free and we also pray with and witness to them. Volunteering is what has made my faith grow so much so I’m so excited to do this in Puerto Rico and meet everyone!
