Okay guys, I kind of cheated and copied and pasted my bio from the Swaziland trip. I was supposed to go to Swaziland but found out the day before I was supposed to leave training camp that I couldn’t go for certain reasons that I can explain to everyone later. So, Don Rock asked me if I would want to go on this trip and I prayed about it and used listening prayer (an amazing AIM concept) and felt God saying yes. So I have only known about this trip for 2 days now but am extremely excited to live in community and build relationships with you guys that are hopefully as awesome as my relationships have been with the Swazi team!

My name is Rebecca Carraher but almost no one calls me by my real name. Most people either call me Becca or Beckie ( Beckie with an “ie” becuase I’m special!) I am 15 years old and a freshman at Xenia High School ( Xenia is a town really close to Dayton, Ohio)

I have been trying to think of a creative way to tell you guys a little bit about me.  Sadly the first thing that popped into my head was the little ABC books I used to read when I was a kid (actually I have never stopped reading them.) So I have decided I sould introduce myself through ABC format. I’m definitely not trying to insult your intelligence I am pretty much insulting my own.

A accident prone ( I trip over nothing quite frequently)
B being myself; it’s what I do. I hate pretending to be someone I’m not
C crazy sums up me in a nutshell
D distracted easily ( It’s a Bunny)
E  eager to impact lives
F family and friends mean the world to me
G girly girl would definitely not describe me. I would rather be outside than go to the mall.
H hopeful; hope is what get’s me through.
I inner city missions is my passion. I go to an inner city mission church in Dayton, Ohio and love it. I love working with people who are less fortunate than myself. I help teach a children’s Sunday school class and help with food ministries at my church. I love every minute of it!
J Jesus saved my life. Without him I would not be here today!
K kid magnet (aka human jungle gym) When kids are around they tend to find me.
L listening is something I love to do.
M mature for my age (at least most of the time) My mom tells me I’m 15 going on 50.
N never give up; I live by that statement.
O overcomer; I have been through quite a bit, but with God I have been able to overcome.
P people person, I  love being around people and am very outgoing.
Q quick to love, I am quick to share the love that God gave me with others.
R running is amazing. I run cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track. I love running because it gives me time to think and clear my head.
S sining is something I thoroughly enjoy. I sing almost everywhere. If I’m not singing out loud there is always a song stuck in my head. I am never afraid to belt out a random song at the most random times.
tomboy all the way. I love sports, fishing, and being outside. I almost never wear make-up and most of the shoes I own are for various sports.
U under my hoodie there’s a tee-shirt girl; I love to be comfortable and most of the time I wear a tee-shirt, jeans, and hoodie.
V very random ( my mind works in scary ways) I have a talent of the thinking or saying the most random things that have nothing to do with anything.
W writing is something I do frequently. I love writing poems and writing in journals.
X Xenia,Ohio was where I was born and raised.
Y Yesterday is gone and today is a new day are the words I live by.
Z a zoo would be the best way to describe my family and my life.
Hope you’ve learned a little bit about me through the ABC’s

  1. Okay, that is all so chill. haha. Who would ever think to introduce themselves using the ABC’s- that was bomb. I feel like I know a lot about you already, or at least have a pretty accurate picture of the kind of person you are, and try to be. Sweetness. haha. =)

So I’m prayin for ya, cuz I know that has to be tough to become family with a team and then not be able to go. BUT, we’re gonna become family too, and have a blast in Puerto Rico! =D

    Love&Peace,
    Kait
